Mission Statement

E-mail Print PDF

In 1999, the world started to waken to the possibilities of the Internet. When we realized the value of the phrase "Shop Whittier", we purchased the domain name shopwhittier.com. Technology being new to many, most homes did not have access to the internet. Once this began to change, we realized that shopwhittier.com would be valuable to our city.

Originally, it would was to be strictly a magazine with advertizers. But we had no idea about how Web design would change.

In 2008, we decided that the technology available to us would allow us to do not only what we wanted for ShopWhittier.com, but it provided tools we could not have envisioned nearly ten years earlier.

Today, ShopWhittier.com has become an Online Magazine and Shopping Guide with business profiles and articles with beautiful photo essyays with Flash slide shows.

Our mssion is to provide a venue for businesses in Whittier to work together in a marketing and image campaign for today's consumers, and at the same time, allow people to see how beautiful and diverse our City is.

Enjoy ShopWhittier.com, subscribe to the RSS feeds, Join our mail list, stay informed, and return often to see all the best that Whittier, California, has to offer.
